Highway 26 is a highway in the northern portion of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan and begins at Hwy 4 north of North Battleford which sets the southern end of the highway. The concurrency of Highway 224 east with Highway 950 west separates at Highway 26 which demarks the northern extremity. Big Head 124 is just west of Highway 950. Highway 26 cruises through Goodsoil which is the last community on the highway. Meadow Lake Provincial Park is at the northern highway edge. This northern highway point is near Lac des Îles. ==Communities along the route== The southern of the Highway 26 runs beside a former Canadian Northern Railway (CNoR) branch line from Prince to St. Walburg, which CNoR built out from North Battleford and steadily extended until 1919. The rail line, and adjoining roads, caused a boom in the area, as early homesteaders were then able to deliver their production to grain elevators.〔 The Canadian National Railway abandoned the entire branch line in 2005, when the remaining grain elevators closed, with grain now transported by truck on Highway 26.〔 *Prince is just west off the highway. *Meota *Cavalier (former hamlet, Pioneer grain elevator closed 1999) *Vawn *Edam *Mervin *Turtleford *Spruce Lake *St. Walburg *Loon Lake *Makwa Lake First Nation: 129, 129B *Flat Valley (former hamlet) *Peerless *Goodsoil 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Saskatchewan Highway 26」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
